In a unique and eco-friendly initiative, board exam students of Class 10th and 12th will now receive additional marks for participating in tree plantation activities. The new guideline, issued by the Education Directorate for the academic session 2024-25, aims to promote environmental awareness and active participation among students.

Tree Plantation Marks for Board Classes

According to the notification, Class 10th and 12th students appearing in board exams will be awarded 7-7 marks for tree plantation. This initiative falls under the “Paudharoapan Abhiyan” (Tree Plantation Campaign), designed to encourage students’ interest in environmental conservation.

The scheme covers both board and non-board classes. Marks have been allocated as follows:
