Eligibility Criteria
Domicile Requirement
Applicants must be domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and possess a valid Domicile Certificate issued by the competent authority on or before 17 February 2026.

- Maximum Age: 28 Years (OM Category)
Age Relaxation:

Educational Qualification
- Minimum Qualification: Matriculation (10th Pass) from a recognized board

Selection Process
The JKSSB Constable Selection Process consists of the following stages:
1. Written Examination
- Objective type (MCQs)
- Questions in English language only
- Negative marking: 0.25 marks for each wrong answer
- NCC Bonus Marks:
- NCC “C” Certificate – 5%
- NCC “B” Certificate – 3%
- NCC “A” Certificate – 2%
2. Physical Standard Test (PST) – Qualifying
For Male Candidates
- Height: 5’6” (minimum)
- Chest: 32” (unexpanded), 33½” (expanded)
For Female Candidates
- Height: 5’2” (minimum)
Height relaxation of 2 inches is applicable for Gorkha Community and Bot Tribe candidates.
3. Physical Endurance Test (PET) – Qualifying
Male Candidates
- 1600 meters race in 6½ minutes
- 20 push-ups
Female Candidates
- 1000 meters race in 6½ minutes
- Shot put (4 kg): 14½ feet (3 attempts)
Relaxations are applicable for Ex-Servicemen as per age categories.
4. Medical Examination
Shortlisted candidates will undergo a medical examination to assess physical fitness.
